We have the opportunity to help families in our community again this year for Christmas. We have a tree set up in the library with ornaments that list items that can be purchased for families in need. If you would like to allow your child to pick an ornament they must return the permission slip (http://midland.wsd.net/images/pdf/giving_tree.pdf) with your signature. You may also come and pick an ornament anytime during school hours. All items must be new, unwrapped, and returned by December 13th. We appreciate all of your efforts to help make this Christmas a magical one for families in our community.
Thank you for your generosity!

We are going to start a contest amongst the grades. The classes that give their home reading the most 'heave ho' will get a trophy in their rooms for the month. For those mateys in the winning class that helped win the prize (students that recorded their reading days), there will be additional loot! They will get a fun school supply to help them with their studies. We will have three shipshape classes each month! Remember to read every day and report your reading to the Road to Success website. Providing a safe learning environment for students is our number one priority. A critical ingredient in the safe school recipe is the classroom response to an incident at school. Weather events, fire, accidents, intruders and other threats to student safety are scenarios that are planned and trained for by students, teachers, staff, and administration.
You can earn cash for our school by clipping Box Tops coupons from hundreds of participating products.
This is an easy fundraiser that can do a lot for our school. Please send your Box Tops to school with your student. Please make sure the Box Tops are in an envelope with the student's name, their grade, and their teacher's name. Keep clipping and know that your efforts are appreciated.
If you haven't done so, sign up here!
